Hi would you be wiling to share your blend file or even just your nodes setup for this? I’m working on a ice typography projects and I’m really struggling to get satisfying results. Your render looks great.
Thanks.
Niels
Hi Niels! Sorry for the very late answer, but I’m almost not updating this blog anymore. I would move on a new domain hopefully soon.
Regarding the ice material, even if I imagine you already solved your problem, I can try to find that blend file to give you more info about that material. Anyway I would try with defaault glass material and mess around with IOR (Index Of Refaction) value. When it comes to reflecting/refracting materials IOR precise value makes a lot of difference…for ecample comparing pure glass and water, same shape, same material and only changing the IOR value of the two materials. Here a link to a complete IOR values list: http://forums.cgsociety.org/archive/index.php?t-513458.html
